One Thousand™ lights up Ain Dubai, the world's largest observation wheel, now recognised as one of the Middle East's most iconic landmarks.
ALL EYES ON DUBAI!
From the evening of 12 July 2021, the wheel lights up providing a breathtaking visual experience on the exclusive new Bluewaters Island in Dubai. The all-Italian production is signed by ONE THOUSAND™.
THE WORLD’S LARGEST OBSERVATION WHEEL
Its height of 250 metres makes it the world's largest Ferris wheel, surpassing Las Vegas and even New York. The attraction consists of 48 capsules that can accommodate 1,400 visitors. Spectators sitting in the capsules will have a breathtaking view of the city's amazing skyline.
The entire wheel is scattered with LED lights that, thanks to the creativity of ONE THOUSAND™, illuminate the skies of Dubai with shapes, colours, light particles and messages: an artistic achievement generated by 65,384 LED pixels.
GIANT NUMBERS
The final structure of Ain Dubai - three times the size of London Eye - is built of over 9,000 tonnes of steel, almost 25% more iron than for the construction of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The wheel's central rim weighs as much as 16 Airbus 380s. The sections of the rim are held in place using cables measuring around 2,400 km in total length.
